Choice of Provider Rule: Individuals receiving DDD/Medicaid funding have the right to choose any approved provider. You can ask your Support Coordinator about any agency in this directory, not only the ones they suggest first.
What changed recently
- Service rates and individual budgets went up on January 1, 2026. To cover a Direct Support Professional wage increase of about $0.46 per hour, DDD raised the "up-to" budget amounts for everyone in the Supports Program and the Community Care Program, and raised the rates for Career Planning, Community Inclusion, Community-Based Supports, Day Habilitation, Individual Supports, Prevocational Training, Respite, and both types of Supported Employment. - Self-directed families now use Acumen, not PPL. DDD moved its self-directed services fiscal intermediary from Public Partnerships LLC to Acumen Fiscal Agent. If you hire your own staff, or use Goods and Services or Self-Directed Employee transportation, timesheets and payments run through Acumen. DDD self-directed services
- Program policy manuals were revised. The Supports Program and Community Care Program manuals are updated periodically, and each version lists its changes on page two. If a rule you were told about feels out of date, the manual is the place to check. DDD news and updates
